XML 'one element - one value' syntax gets downright cumbersome when
representing numeric vectors or arrays. It sure would be nice to be able to
specify a 'vector' datatype having a delimiter attribute, such that one
might encode:
<SomeVector>2.1||3.4|-1.2|||5.6</SomeVector>
where 'SomeVector' is an element of elementType Vector having a delimiter of
"|" and datatype of "real".
Seems like we encounter data 'vectors' with some frequency in X12 EDI
transaction sets.
