Greetings Paul, your response [1] does not appear in my personal mail log, I can only assume that I was over zealous deleting stuff when I returned from a month's vacation. My apologies. Our comment was that we were unsure if some of the changes were within the process guidelines but accept your assurance that you are following the guidelines and consequently the XHTML 2 Working Group accepts your response. [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-linking-comments/2008JulSep/0019.html Regards, Roland Thank you for your comments at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-linking-comments/2008AprJun/ 0012 on the XML Base Second Edition PER. Regarding: > We are not convinced that the proposed changes fall > within the process guidelines of what new features > may be added to a recommendation. The XML Core WG has reviewed this comment and decided not to make any change to XML Base Second Edition with the following explanation: We're not sure to what proposed changes you refer. The change from the earlier language in XML base to LEIRIs is not a normative change. We are merely replacing the description of allowed xml:base values with a reference to LEIRIs which (by design) describe the very same thing. If it is another change that concerns you, please explain. See also http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-linking-comments/2008JulSep/ 0000 for previous reponses. We hope to transition XML Base to Recommendation within the next few weeks. Please let us know if you accept our disposition of this comment as soon as feasible. If we have not heard by September 22, we will assume you have no objection to our resolution.
