It seems strange to announce an implementation that is available for more than 6 months. Out of the discussion during the technical plenary I concluded that there is a need to do this. X-Hive has implemented the Last Call Working Draft of the XPointer spec of January,8 2001 in its native XML database X-Hive/DB. It is a full implementation except for chapter 4.1 "Character Escaping". There are already customers who are actually using this today especially in combination with our XLink link processor. A 30 day trial version of X-Hive/DB including this implementation can be downloaded from our website at: http://www.x-hive.com Best regards Jeroen van Rotterdam ---- X-Hive Corporation jeroen@x-hive.com http://www.x-hive.com
