  Okay, but it might be better to fix this small mapping problem by
making the href mandatory on simple links. Well maybe not if one want
to use it as a target.
  Maybe that's where the confusion came from, this mapping of simple
to complex links was considered only for simple links to be used as
sources. 
  You are right there is at least some editorial work needed,
