These are minor editorial comments for your XML Base Candidate Recommendation [1]. Evidently I missed just a few things in the last Working Draft. In 1. par. 1, "stated requirements on XLink" could say, "stated requirements of XLink". In 3. par. 1, "URI Reference" can be lowercase, "URI reference". In Appendix A, XML Names, "Textuality, Hewlett-Packard, and Microsoft." can be omitted. In Appendix B, XML Infoset, John Cowan appears to be the sole editor. Finally, a question that arose during this reading. In Appendix C, suggesting revisions to other specs (XSLT, XML Schema, XHTML) might be out of place, I'm not sure. Is there a Coordination Group that can help? It might work to stop short and only give the current situation for each one as you do for XPath.
