Has anyone addressed the issue of what "XLink Conformance" might mean? I suspect we'll see (and I suspect we should support) "XLink" applications that only support simple XLinks, or (perhaps less worthy of support) support extended links going from the source of links to targeted documents, but not in any other direction. Then there's the issue of linkbases... While I'm much happier with the XLink specification than I was, I'm still not sure what a 'conforming XLink processor' might look like. I'm planning on revising XLinkFilter to present XLink information from the latest draft (and use SAX2), but it certainly won't be implementing behavior, just notifying applications of what they're expected to do.
