Hi, I'm Ed Simon, co-author of the XML Signature (http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/PR-xmldsig-core-20010820/) and XML Encryption (http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlenc-core/) specifications. Most recently, I've been starting XMLsec Inc. (http://www.xmlsec.com) which provides XML training and consulting services, specializing particularly in the area of XML Security. XML Signature and XML Encryption bring the benefits of XML to the application side of security, but to complete the picture we also need to bring the benefits of XML to the key management side and that is why I strongly support the XKMS initiative. I agree to work according to the W3C WG contributor policy. Regards, Ed ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ed Simon <edsimon@xmlsec.com> XMLsec Inc.
