That is just my > uninformed opinion. This was less an assertion and more a proposal. While some folks are supportive I've had further conversations with folks (AC reps and team members) about this and while folks would like to see the work move as quickly as possible I don't have agreement that shoe-honing something like ws-sec into an existing WG is a good idea. I expect if I attempted this, the subsequent discussion would include the essential questions of scope plus discussion, and maybe even opposition, as to whether this was the right approach. Consequently, I thing our efforts would better be spent on helping the web services activity determine the scope and focus of this work. Consequently, I don't plan on widening the scope of any of the existing activities in any charter renewels. However, you can help move things along by: 1. Commenting on the Web Services Architecture Requirements. http://www.w3.org/TR/2002/WD-wsa-reqs-20020429 2. Participating (or helping your representative) in the Architecture WG focus on a charter for immediate ws-security-like work, and defining the bigger picture.
