ws-arch-scenarios: what does the blue line mean?

Perhaps this is an internal draft, about which
you don't mean to solicit comments, but it
says:

"Comments on this document should be sent to www-wsa-comments@w3.org"

So... the figures are kinda nice, but the
blue line... what does it mean? Pls make
sure the notation in the diagrams is
explained.
