FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS THE INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON CONTEXT MODELING AND MANAGEMENT FOR SMART ENVIRONMENTS (CMMSE'07) Workshop website: http://flash.lakeheadu.ca/ ~rbenlamr/cmm07 <http://flash.lakeheadu.ca/%20~rbenlamr/cmm07> / In conjunction with the 2nd International Conference on Digital Information Management (ICDIM'07) We invite you to send a paper to CMMSE'07 in Lyon, France on October 28-31, 2007. Paper submission deadline: July 6, 2007 CMMSE'07 is an IEEE Computer Society sponsored workshop covering a wide range of topics in Context Modeling and Management for Smart Environments. CMMSE'07 in conjunction with ICDIM'07 provides an excellent opportunity for researchers to exchange leading-edge research in the dynamic field of ubiquitous computing, and context-aware computing in particular. Topics of the workshop include, but are not limited to: - Context modeling approaches in smart environments; - Context management approaches in smart environments; - Context reasoning in smart environments; - Combined context models; - Context discovery in smart environments; - Context reuse in smart environments; - Advanced issues in context modeling (imperfections, ambiguity and incompleteness) - Context information query; - Distribution of context information; - Scalability, integration and reuse of context models; - Interoperability of context modeling approaches; - Security and privacy of context information - Experiences using context models and reasoning to build smart environments. - Ontology-based approaches to context modeling and reasoning - Evaluation of context models - Context Modeling Languages and middleware - Semantics and expressiveness of context models - Domain specific context models (context-awareness in e-learning, e-commerce, ...) - Uncertainty modeling and management of context information The proceedings of the Workshop will be published by IEEE Computer Society and fully index by IEEE Xplore. Extended version of selected papers will be considered for publication in the following journals: Journal of Digital Information Management (JDIM) <http://www.dirf.org/jdim/publisher.htm> Journal of Information Assurance and Security (JIAS) <http://www.softcomputing.net/jias/> International Journal of Computational Intelligence Research <http://www.ripublication.com/ijcir.htm> International Journal for Infonomics (IJI) <http://www.i-journal.org.uk/> International Journal of Internet Technology and Secured Transactions (IJITST) <http://www.inderscience.com/browse/index.php?journalCODE=ijitst> International Journal of Product Lifecycle Management (IJPLM) <http://www.inderscience.com/browse/index.php?journalID=139> We invite contributions that advance the state-of-the-art in topics related to the workshop themes. Researchers are invited to submit technical papers (approx. 5000 words- 10 pages), position or work-in-progress papers (approx. 2000 words - 4 pages). All submissions should use the standard IEEE double-column format. Authors should e-mail their submissions to s.kouadri@open.ac.uk or rbenlamr@lakeheadu.ca. Important Dates: Paper submission deadline: July 6, 2007 Notification of acceptance: July 27, 2007 Camera-ready papers due: August 15, 2007 For more details on how to submit and the workshop, consult the workshop website http://flash.lakeheadu.ca/~rbenlamr/cmm07/ <http://flash.lakeheadu.ca/~rbenlamr/cmm07/> Please forward this call for papers to your colleagues and mailing list. Kind Regards Workshop Co-Chairs Soraya Kouadri Mostefaoui, The Open University, United Kingdom Rachid Benlamri, Lakehead University, Canada
