In fulfillment of my action item [1] I gave looked at CR098 [2] which recommend that we not treat the following statement as an assertion [3]: Specifically components that the schema imports via xs:import are NOT referenceable.? This statement is weaker than the assertion [4] When resolving QNames references for schema definitions, the namespace MUST be imported by the referring WSDL 2.0 document. I agree that we should leave the sentence but remove the assertion markup. However, I also recommend that we correct the wording. A document imports namespaces, not components. I recommend the following wording which also spells things more explicitly: Note that components in the namespace that the inline schema imports via xs:import are not automatically referenceable from the WSDL 2.0 document that contains the inline schema.
