Subject: REST Debate

I do not see any material in the current debate about REST and Web services that differs substantively from that posted in great detail, over and over, more than a year ago on this forum and continuing, off and on, for the past year or more. I don't see any reason to expect any more agreement now than there has been in the past. That is, I do not think that this is likely to be a productive discussion. In addition, for better or worse the WG is trying to focus on issues directly related to the document being developed. We have been repeatedly requested by the chairs to confine debate to issues directly related to this document, and to ground opinions with proposed text for the document.

In other words, could we take this debate to another list or ground it with specific textual proposals for the document?
