**** With apologies for multiple postings and cross postings ****** International Workshop on Ontologies for Networked Systems (ONS2004) located at the 5th International Conference on Web Information Systems Engineering (WISE 2004) 22nd November 2004 (Workshop day) Brisbane, Australia Paper submission: July 1st, 2004 Ontologies provide a shared understanding of a domain of interest to support communication among human and computer agents, typically being represented in a machine-processable representation language. Thus, ontologies are seen as key enablers for the Semantic Web. However, recently the convergence of paradigms such as currently being monitored in the areas of Semantic Web, Web Services, Agents, Peer-to-Peer networks and Grid Computing requires multi-disciplinary approaches and cooperation. This workshop is intends to bring together researchers and practitioners from the mentioned areas and to act as a platform for discussions for experiences and visions. All accepted papers will be published as a Springer LNCS volume. Important Dates --------------- Deadline paper submissions: July 1st, 2004 *NEW DATE* Notification of acceptance: August 2nd, 2004 Camera ready deadline: August 27th, 2004 Workshop: November 22nd, 2004 Further information can be found at: http://km.aifb.uni-karlsruhe.de/ws/ons2004
