On today's sem discussion there was much discussion of datalog -- a large user community who might become interested in our stuff if we mesh well. It is clear that most of us aren't very up on datalog. I was looking for a good introductory link and still haven't found it, but I encountered http://erlang.org/course/exercises.html#dialog which contains a simple syntax for datalog, which might be useful for some of the issues being raised. btw, if we only had datalog semantics it might not make some of us happy, but it would sure make a lot of DB folks very excited... -JH -- Professor James Hendler hendler@cs.umd.edu Director, Semantic Web and Agent Technologies 301-405-2696 Maryland Information and Network Dynamics Lab. 301-405-6707 (Fax) Univ of Maryland, College Park, MD 20742 240-731-3822 (Cell) http://www.cs.umd.edu/users/hendler
