SEM: Let's make this productive

All - it is clear that between us we have a lot of background and
experience in many areas impinging on semantics, and while free
ranging discussion is informative (and fun) it doesn't really help us
advance towards our goals. I don't want to stop the discourse in
anyway, but let me suggest that targeting it towards our issues (and
the test cases that go with them) seems to be our best chance for
getting consensus on these complex matters. Ian's message was a good
example - he proposed that the classes as instances distinction had
impact on the semantics decisions in various ways. Please try to
keep your conversation focused on the open issues in the issues list
- virtually all of the current open ones are related to semantic
discussion.
Also, proposals for how to RESOLVE issues are especially sought
after - remember, we don't get published till that list has
everything in the Closed or postponed category...
