[Fwd: DAML+OIL submitted to W3C]

The submitters request that this WG use DAML+OIL as
a starting point; this is largely consistent with our
charter and such...

Abstract
DAML+OIL is a semantic markup language for Web resources. It builds on
earlier W3C standards such as RDF and RDF Schema, and extends these
languages
with richer modelling primitives. DAML+OIL provides modelling
primitives
commonly found in frame-based languages. DAML+OIL (March 2001) extends
DAML+OIL (December 2000) with values from XML Schema datatypes.
The language has a clean and well
defined semantics."

As far as I know, there are not, by design, any technical
changes since the Mar 2001 DAML+OIL draft.

One noteable technical side-effect of republication
is a new namespace name.
