France Telecom, Orange Labs, is happy to contribute to the PLS 1.0 Recommendation and to support the activities of the W3C Voice Browser working group by submitting the following supplementary PLS 1.0 Implementation Report. This Implementation Report is based on an implementation that forms an integral part of the France Telecom Orange Labs text-to-speech synthesis engine. This implementation is made independently of the PERL module PLS-Parser also provided by Orange Labs, and is written in a different programming language. Assertions #25, #26 and #92, related to automatic speech recognition, are not relevant to this implementation.
