It would be nice if there was some kind of global state which it didn't matter which state you were in you could transfer to another state. This would be helpful for things like exception handling where it doesn't always matter what state you are in but the exception type. People have told me that you can embed a substate inside a global state wrapper and use the initial to do this but I don't see why you need a wrapper state to handle globals. It should be built in to the spec and then you don't need to. Also there is no notion of pattern matching on id values that if defined would help. Thanks, Shawn D.
