Interpretation Results : Audio Files

The .wav files provided in the assertio pack  (eg: 369 th assertion) 
are of the type : 
 RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 8 bit, mono 8000 Hz

However, I don't think this particular type is to be necessarily supported
by any voicexml interpreter .. or is it??

Please clarify someone!
