Interestingly, if you percent-encode the "http://" in the uri argument, then there is no error: validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2F212.159.114.50:8080/Greek/Experimental/Image-scaling.html Possibly the combination of unecoded uri arg, raw-IP address, and a non-standard port triggers a firewall rule. - Chuck
