Validator: certificate verify failed

Good day,

I recently tried to validate a website of mine, which is also delivered in https: https://www.liegenschaftsmanagement.tu-clausthal.de


The validator was not able to validate the page, using https, instead, it moarned about certificate verify failed.

CA of Clausthal University has signed the server and its certificate seems to validate to me, as least, if you investigate the complete chain up to the root certificate, so I can’t see any error on our side.

I also found the accoring question https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-validator/2016Jul/0021.html from July 2016.

Has any progress been made since than?
