Hi Manfred, Thanks very much for taking time to report this — it helped me fix some broken logic in the language-detecting code in the HTML checker. I’ve pushed the fix to https://validator.w3.org/nu/, so if you look again at https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=http%3A%2F%2Fceur-ws.org%2FVol-2037%2Findex.html you should find that the HTML checker no longer incorrectly emits that spurious warning based having misidentified the language. –Mike Manfred Jeusfeld <manfred.jeusfeld@his.se>, 2018-01-10 11:19 +0100: > Archived-At: <https://www.w3.org/mid/d3393e19-592c-858c-9187-557dabb76f0a@his.se> > > Hi! > > > The following document is in English but the validator assumes it to be > in Italian: > > http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-2037/index.html > > > https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=http%3A%2F%2Fceur-ws.org%2FVol-2037%2Findex.html > > --- > > *Warning*: This document appears to be written in Italian but the |html| > start tag has |lang="en"|.
