The <datalist> code example in the official W3C HTML5 spec does not validate. https://googledrive.com/host/0B8BLd2qPPV7Xc2NyQllJZU1yVXc/w3c-datalist-code-example.html Validator reports: "Element option without attribute label must not be empty." Where does this quoted error text even come from? I do not see any such prohibition in the HTML5 option element content model spec.
