Using http://validator.w3.org/check and submitting a large document causes an error response of "Request Entity Too Large" (see details below) that does not describe what the limit is. I tested with a copy of the content of http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/quirks-mode.html which is 24,085 bytes. So there is apparently a rather low limit, and this is probably a fairly recent issue, since I think I have validated larger documents using Direct Input. Full error message: Request Entity Too Large The requested resource /check does not allow request data with POST requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit. Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) mod_python/3.3.1 Python/2.5.2 Server at scratchy.w3.org Port 80 Request Entity Too Large The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
