Jean, Changing charset from iso-8859-1 to windows-1252 gives the same result. This is certainly a bug. Here are three files that have essentially the same content with character set declared as iso-8859-1, windows-1253 and utf-8: http://ahangama.com/charset-iso-8859-1.htm http://ahangama.com/charset-windows-1252.htm http://ahangama.com/charset-utf-8.htm Apparently, utf-8 file has no problems. However all the files on the following web site *must* be declared as iso-8859-1 to display properly. If I use utf-8, non-ASCII characters do not get displayed! Now, who can explain that? Thanks, JC -- *________________________________________ * *Learn how to write Sinhala like you type English:* සිංහලෙන් ලියන්න ලේසි ක්රමයක් <http://www.lovatasinhala.com/liyanna.php> <== CLICK THISReceived on Tuesday, 31 May 2011 07:36:50 UTC
