If we can get it fixed acceptably well, the feature won't be scrapped.

Please test the development version at http://qa-dev.w3.org/wmvs/HEAD/ and 
report back how it works for you, bug reports (if any) preferably at 
http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/ , product "Validator".
