You sent me in private the link to the Web site.
The validator knows that it is
	HTML 4.01 Transitional

The site uses elements and attributes which are not in HTML 4.01. See

* List of elements

* List of attributes
   http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/index/attributes.html

for example
   marquee
   or id with space inside the value.
