Well I supposedly have a duplicate of > something I don't have at all on a line many times beyond what I > have. Therefore I believe this to be a bug. Indeed, this is a double bug. There is a little problem in the DTD for XHTML+MathML+SVG [1], and the beta test validator, with its new architecture, doesn't have (at this point) a way to filter out errors in the DTDs, which therefore appear like errors in the document. Some have asked in the past to *show* the errors in the DTDs [2] but obviously these should not be reported as if they were errors in the document. [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-html-editor/2007AprJun/ 0010.html [2] http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=301 I hope we can find a solution to either or both issues before releasing the new validator.
