The w3c validator is always busy validating documents, so I'll try to answer
for it. (BTW: Its KI is not very far developed, so it is not yet able to
answer help requests on its own anyway...).

Could you please be more specific, what your problem is. Preferably give us
an URL to the document that you are trying to get right (if it is not yet
online, upload it to a public server - as a *last* resort, if the document
is not too big, copy it into the message).
XML is a very generic term, we have to know to which document type you are
referring (e.g. XHTML 1.0).
