I have a question regarding the use of the alt attribute for the img tag. I am using an image merely as a spacer on a web page, so I have not put an alt attribute in the tag. When I run the page through the W3C Validator, it is flagged as an error. Is there any way to code the tag so that the validator knows the alt attribute is not necessary? Thanks!
