Dear W3C (2) I am using your nice http://validator.w3.org/checklink for checking the links on my course webpages; thank you for providing it. My webpages have a link to your html-validator. http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/check/referer Alas, your link-verifier complains about the link to the validator. Here is an example: /----------------------------------------------------------\ http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/check/referer What to do: Usually the sign of a malformed URL that cannot be parsed by the server. Response status code: 400 Response message: Bad Request \__________________________________________________________/ ===================================== I have a related feature-request (related, because it enlarges the "http://jigsaw.../referer" syntax). Page http://validator.w3.org/docs/users.html#Options says, in part, /----------------------------------------------------------\ .... To add options to your links directly, append the options separated by a semi-colon. For example http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.example.com/;ss=1;outline=1;sp=1 will validate the example.com home page with "Show Source", "Outline" and "Show Parse Tree" on, but "Exclude Attributes" off. \__________________________________________________________/ I would find it convenient of a similar feature were permitted on the http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/check/referer link, e.g, perhaps http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/check/referer;ss=1;outline=1;sp=1 or some such. Thank you. Sincerely, -Jonathan King -- Prof. Jonathan LF King Mathematics dept, Univ. of Florida <squash@math.ufl.edu>, <http://www.math.ufl.edu/~squash/>
