I stumbled across the validator by accident and decided to run one of my
own documents (in HTML) against the XHTML parser. It was rejected on just
about every tag, and after ages of checking and re-checking the DOCTYPE
statement etc, I remembered something I had read somewhere about all tags
being in lowercase. I changed all my uppercase tags to lowercase and it
went through much more easily (only 2 screens of errors!).
All of this to say: you might want to add something to your FAQ pages to
advise users to check this first. The FAQ just says 'maybe the DTD doesn't
support this tag'...
Other than that, excellent tool.
Thanks,
Dirk
