Thank you Bjoern, i finally solved this problem: a missing "-T" parameter on the first line of "check" file in htdocs directory. Now i'm able to run the validator but it always returns "non valid" message without showing any results. The SGML parser is set to: SGML Parser C:/Programmi/EasyPHP/opensp151/ and also tried with: SGML Parser C:/Programmi/EasyPHP/opensp151/onsgmls.exe with no success. In the docs,it's suggested to use OpenSP >= 1.5 and i have 1.5.1 so it should work, but it doesn't. In addition i've used the FileMonitor as you suggested,i've saved the output of the few seconds while the validator runs and discovered that there is no mention of the "osp151.dll" file as you suspected (i've searched trough all the ouput) This is the part related to onsgmls.exe runtime: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 16316 18.33.01 perl.exe:1948 OPEN C:\Programmi\EasyPHP\opensp151\onsgmls.exe SUCCESS Options: Open Access: All 16317 18.33.01 perl.exe:1948 QUERY INFORMATION C:\Programmi\EasyPHP\opensp151\onsgmls.exe BUFFER OVERFLOW FileFsVolumeInformation 16318 18.33.01 perl.exe:1948 QUERY INFORMATION C:\Programmi\EasyPHP\opensp151\onsgmls.exe BUFFER OVERFLOW FileAllInformation 16319 18.33.01 perl.exe:1948 CLOSE C:\Programmi\EasyPHP\opensp151\onsgmls.exe SUCCESS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> What do you suggest to do now? Thanks again, ralf.
