Hello Marty! It rather seems that you haven't thought of presenting ampersands in the form they're supposed to. If you want the text "Buy A&B and you'll get two for the price of one!" to be valid, it should be "Buy A&B and you'll get two for the price of one!" The error messages don't say anything about slashes or tags themselves. Wherever could you have got your original idea of their meaning from?
