Hi there. I use your validator quite often. Now, when you validate a page, the validator says that the page does or does not validate as a certain doctype, and the name of the doctype is linked to its DTD. However, on this page: http://www.w3.org/QA/2002/04/valid-dtd-list.html It says (near the bottom): "Authoring tools MUST NOT use the following list [of DTD links]." Many of the links are the ones that the validator uses. I'm not sure if this is a problem because I'm not sure why "authoring tools" should not use the links, but I thought I'd bring it to your attention just in case. ========== Dan Richter ============== mailto:Dan@wimba.com =========== Their reproof adds the / injury of insult to / the shame of failure. - Damian Conway, whose Perl script transforms computer error messages into haikus.
