I have discovered that including the DTD definition line as the first line of a page causes IE6 to create a horizontal scroll bar even if it is not required Check out www.thad.demon.co.uk/tsr/index.htm the lower right frame has a horizontal scroll bar - only in ie6 not any earlier ie or netscape If i remove the first (DTD def'n) line the scroll bar does not appear equally if i swap over the dtd def'n and the <html lang=en> line the scroll bar does not appear. I tried simplyfyning the frame source file I took everything out except the DTD, html, head, body and several <p>testing</p> lines exactly the same effect - only scroll bar with DTD def'n present Any one got any ideas suggestions (pull with microsoft would be wishfuil thinking) Allan Smith
