Apologies if this is not the right list to ask this question of - please point me to the right one  :-)  

Assuming one uses a properly formed DOCTYPE statement and a browser that fully supports the DOCTYPE, what happens if the DTD URI in the DOCTYPE is unavailable (server down, etc.)? What will the browser do?
