Can the validator be used to extract the links and e-mails includedin a document ? from Omar Msaaf on 2002-01-10 (www-validator@w3.org from January 2002)

Hi everybody,
My question could seem somehow stupid, but I had to start somewhere.
We are building an application resembling a robot, looking for e-mails
and links starting from a set of URL's.
I would like to know if there is something done allowing such a
functionality.
