Just ran my site through checklink, and IMO, this really should be
happening:

http://validator.w3.org/check/referer redirected to
http://validator.w3.org/
    What to do: You should update the link.
    HTTP Code returned: 301 -> 200
HTTP Message: Moved Permanently -> OK
Lines: 47

Either checklink should send referer, or at the least have an exception
to recognize the validator's own "check referer" URL and not flag it as
one that should be updated.
