Try http://www.exile.ru/permanent/clubs.php against the validator. Select character set windows-1251 (Cyrllic) and HTML 4.01 Strict. Check "show source" The page will pass. But that page ends with 1367: <div class='credits'> 1368: <hr> 1369: (c) "the eXile" Tel./fax: 1370: +7 (095) 151-4670/88 E-mail: <a class=footnotes href="mailto:office@exile.ru">office@exile.ru</a> <br> 1371: (website-related issues: <a class=footnotes href="mailto:webmaster@exile.ru">webmaster@exile.ru</a>) 1372: </div> with an unclosed table and an unclosed body. Netscape renders the page as blank. How did the validator miss that? John Nagle
