Dear Colleagues -- I am today, for the first time, trying to validate against a non-standard DTD (HTML 4.01 Transitional with the addition of the attributes MARGINHEIGHT and MARGINWIDTH for the body element). Liam Quinn's "A Real Validator" tells me all is well, but when I try to validate using the W3C service, I am told that the DTD cannot be fetched ("Object not found"). I can fetch the DTD for myself, and LYNX -head http://www.rhul.ac.uk/shared/dtds/Augmented.dtd reports : HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Microsoft-IIS/4.0 Date: Wed, 06 Sep 2000 12:03:35 GMT Content-Type: text/plain Accept-Ranges: bytes Last-Modified: Wed, 06 Sep 2000 12:01:01 GMT ETag: "c0443f20fa17c01:2283" Content-Length: 46663 I would be grateful if anyone could help me to identify the cause of this problem. The W3C report is appended, below.
