But it is valid per the 5th edition. 3) PROBLEM: Validator.nu gives the following message when checking this data attribute: data-* attribute names must be XML 1.0 4th ed. plus Namespaces NCNames. HTML5, in its references section, links to the current - 5th - version of XML 1.0. Polyglot Markup does as well link to the 5th edition.
