http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=7738 Summary: Validator checks /*commented-out*/ javascript code Product: Validator Version: HEAD Platform: PC URL: (Local file, not yet online) OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: minor Priority: P4 Component: check AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: Jesse_Hammond@cox.net QAContact: www-validator-cvs@w3.org The validator detected that a javascript function was writing invalid HTML code to a SPAN. I commented that code out so I could refer back to it if need be, then wrote the correct code. Even though the old code was commented out, though, the validator was still registering it as erronous code. I had to completely delete the code instead. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
