http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=7162 Summary: Validator does not support Internationalized Domain Names Product: Validator Version: HEAD Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: check AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: duerst@it.aoyama.ac.jp QAContact: www-validator-cvs@w3.org The validator does not support Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), but should do so. IDNs have been standardized by the IETF in 2003, and an update (mostly irrelevant for implementation in the validator) is underway now. As a simple example, http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.ietf.org/ validates http://www.ietf.org/. Likewise, http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://恵比寿駅.jp/ should validate http://恵比寿駅.jp/. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
