http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=7077 Summary: SVG documents are validated even if namespace is not declared Product: Validator Version: HEAD Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: check AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org ReportedBy: ccprog@gmx.de QAContact: www-validator-cvs@w3.org Just like XHTML, SVG needs a mandatory xmlns attribute on the root element. Unlike XHTML, the validator doesn't give a warning if it is missing. I suggest this should be resolved just like Bug #68, even though namespace handling remains an awkward issue. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
