In principle, that’s because your browser’s language preferences have 
the Greek language with a higher quality factor than English.

However, it seems that I cannot reproduce the issue in Firefox even if I 
put Greek first in the list (giving it the largest quality factor). 
Tested with
Accept-Language: el,en-us;q=0.8,en;q=0.7,fi;q=0.5,sv;q=0.3,de;q=0.2

To deal with the immediate problem, use the list of language names at 
the top of the validator’s main page. Clicking on “English” takes you to 
the English version.
