actually, on IE 8 and IE 8's compatibility mode for IE 7, there would be an
extra space in between the two icons, with an underline, that links to the
HTML validation site.  Is this a bug of IE 8, or is IE 8 following the
standard?  (Firefox, Chrome, and Safari all won't do that).  So to make it
work, the code needs to be:
