There have been talks of providing a jar of the CSS validator, and this is certainly a good idea. However, if I am not mistaken, even with a jar it is quite difficult to install the servlet on a Web server. One interesting workaround would be to create a java GUI for the CSS validator (a la rdfpic[1]), which would surely be easy to use on almost any platform, especially given how ubiquitous java is on the desktop. I have hopes that by making the tool more widespread, we could get more java developers interested, and hopefully ramp up the level of development and maintenance for the tool. [1] http://jigsaw.w3.org/rdfpic/ Do you think this is a good idea? Would anyone be interested in undertaking this? Thanks, -- olivier
