Valid HTML on the CSS-validator img from Faulkingham, Colin on 2002-10-21 (www-validator-css@w3.org from October 2002)

When I ran my css through  the css validator
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator-uri.html it gave me a
congratulations and then a snippet of XHTML for the valid css image.
To my surprise the snippet is not valid XHTML .  The img tag is not closed
properly.
Just thought someone might want to know.
