W3C TVWeb IG closed

All,

the charter of the W3C TVWeb IG expired in the beginning of this
year, and rather than extending it, it was decided to close it,
while keeping this mailing list alive, however.

There are several reasons for not extending the group. First, the 
group has not been very active over the last year. Moreover, the 
TV community has been integrated into other W3C Working Groups 
(such as the CSS and HTML working groups) and the Hypertext 
coordination group. Finally, work on the general issue of new
Web access devices (subsiming TV devices) has been started 
in the Device Independence Activity

Having said that, do not hesitate to continue to use this
list to bring up TVWeb related questions, requirements and
other input to W3C work - it will continue to be monitored.
